Das Board und die Mitglieder berichten.

"At some clubs success is accidental. At Arsenal it is compulsory."

Arsene Wenger

"Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me."

Dennis Bergkamp

"I really like Arsenal. But you, do you like Arsenal? Or just Arsenal with Trophies?"

Dennis Bergkamp

“Arsenal saved my life. This club made me.”

Ian Wright

"When I first came to Arsenal, I realised the back four were all university graduates in the art of defending. As for Tony Adams, I consider him to be a doctor of defence"

Arsene Wenger

"I fell in love with football as I was later to fall in love with women: suddenly, inexplicably, uncritically, giving no thought to the pain or disruption it would bring with it."

Nick Hornby

"If you eat caviar every day, it is difficult to return to sausages."

Arsene Wenger

"I've been consistent in patches this season."

Theo Walcott

"I will sign every contract Arsenal put in front of me without reading it."

Tony Adams

„I'm obsessed by the idea of making my mark on history. And Arsenal is my paradise.“

Thierry Henry

"When Patrick Vieira came over from AC Milan, he didn't know a word of English. We gave him accommodation, phone, car & an English teacher. I talked to Patrick in fluent French and before a game I asked in French, can you speak a bit of English to me? Patrick nodded and replied, 'Tottenham are shit‘“

David Dein

"The referee was booking so many people I thought he was filling in his lottery numbers."

Ian Wright

"I've wanted to play in pink boots since I was little."

Niclas Bendner

“Home is where the Arsenal is.”

Nick Hornby, Fever Pitch

"What does Arsenal mean? It means class. The structure of the Club, everything has a classy feel about it. It isn't always about success, there is more than that and this is what makes it a cut above the rest"

Charlie Nicholas

"Wearing the Arsenal shirt is a privilege. And the supporters remind you of that responsibility every single day."

Tony Adams

'If I die, I am going to ask God where the referees are before choosing between heaven and hell'

Arsene Wenger

"When I put on that red shirt, I knew I was playing for something bigger than myself.”

Thierry Henry

"Other clubs never came into my thoughts once I knew Arsenal wanted to sign me."

Dennis Bergkamp

“I always watched the Premier League. In fact, my team was Arsenal. The players, the shirt. I saw them as a bit different: they had something, an aura."

Cristhian Mosquera

“Arsenal is in my blood as well as my heart. I will always, always, always remember you guys. I said I was going to be a Gooner for life and I did not lie because when you are a Gooner, you will always be a Gooner. This club is in my heart and will remain in my heart forever.”

Thierry Henry

"Arsène's ways helped me to change as a footballer and a person. He is a very genuine man. He didn't want to hold anyone back. Go out and play. You had to be organised and know what you were doing, but he did want you to express yourself, without worrying about mistakes. He stressed how he wanted us to be positive and trust our own ability. He was an extraordinary character. I loved him to bits.“
